The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Area, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, has described former Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, as the state’s guiding light and a beacon of unity and selfless service as he marks his 67th birthday.
In a congratulatory message Chukwunwike while speaking on behalf of his family, the council government, and the people of Aniocha South, celebrated Okowa as a beloved leader, mentor, and statesman whose life exemplifies humility, visionary leadership, and unity.
“Your life’s journey and public service have been a shining light to many,” Chukwunwike said. “Through your transformative leadership as Governor of Delta State, you built bridges of peace, deepened far-reaching democratic ideals, and promoted inclusive development that penetrated every corner of our state.”

He noted that Okowa’s emergence as the APC Senatorial candidate for Delta North in the 2027 general election, following a landslide victory as the party’s flag bearer, is a testament to his wide acceptance and enduring popularity.
“It reflects the confidence reposed in your leadership and your unwavering commitment to the progress and unity of our people,” he added.
The Aniocha South Chairman said the birthday goes beyond celebration of age, but of the values Okowa embodies: “wisdom in decision making, humility in leadership, and compassion in service.”
“You have shown that true leadership is not about occupying office, but about making a lasting impact, and indeed, you have touched and uplifted countless lives,” Chukwunwike stated.
He described Okowa as the political compass and moral reference point of Delta State, noting that his guidance has been instrumental in sustaining unity and continuity, especially at a time when many crave direction.
Chukwunwike prayed that God would continue to bless the former governor with sound health, greater wisdom, and renewed strength to keep offering his wealth of experience for the good of Delta State and Nigeria.
