The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has reaffirmed his commitment to protecting critical public infrastructure following the arrest and prosecution of a suspected electricity cable vandal, Mr. Abba Saninu.
The suspect was apprehended on June 25, 2026, at the Ayetorogbene axis in Kpakiama Town while allegedly attempting to steal high-tension electricity cables.
His arrest was made possible through the swift collaboration of Bomadi Vigilante Operatives and officers of the Nigeria Police Force, Bomadi Division.
On Monday, June 30, 2026, the suspect was arraigned before the Bomadi Magistrate Court by the Bomadi Local Government Council.
Following court proceedings, he was remanded in a correctional facility pending the commencement of trial, in accordance with the law.
Hon. Andaye said the incident highlights the activities of individuals bent on sabotaging efforts of his administration to restore stable electricity across communities in the local government area.
He stated that the council will not tolerate any act of vandalism or economic sabotage aimed at frustrating developmental strides.

He assured residents that all security agencies remain on high alert, working to safeguard lives, protect public infrastructure, and preserve government property.
