The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council and Secretary of ALGON Delta State, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, joined family and dignitaries on Saturday, May 2, 2026, to celebrate the landmark 100th birthday of Mama Esther Ahon.
The centennial celebration, held at the Ughelli Garden Hotel, was a vibrant tribute to a century of “grace, strength, and impactful living.”
Hon. Andaye attended the event alongside the Delta State ALGON Chairman, Hon. Chief Isaiah Esiovwa, among other notable personalities from across the state.Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Andaye described Mama Ahon as a “virtuous woman” whose long life has left an indelible mark on her community.
He noted that his presence was a testament to the strong professional bond he shares with her son, Chief Festus Ahon, who serves as the Chief Press Secretary to the Delta State Governor.
“The gathering reflected a shared admiration for Mama Ahon’s enduring legacy and the values she represents,” Andaye remarked, highlighting the milestone as a rare and momentous occasion for the entire Delta State community.
