The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has sent a glowing tribute to the pioneer President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Dr. Felix Tuodolo, on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
In a statement released to the press, Hon. Andaye described the celebrant as a “distinguished leader” and the “pride of the Ijaw Nation,” citing his foundational role in the struggle for the rights of the Niger Delta people.
According to Hon Andaye,Dr Tuodolo played a pivotal role in shaping the Ijaw struggle, championing the rights of the Ijaw people through advocacy for resource control, environmental justice, and greater inclusion in national affairs.
He added that his leadership helped unify Ijaw youths and drew National attention to the challenges faced by oil-producing communities in the Niger Delta.
Hon. Andaye, who described Dr. Tuodolo as a close associate and trusted ally, commended his enduring contributions to peace, youth empowerment, and community development.
He noted that Dr. Tuodolo’s legacy as a bridge-builder and advocate for justice has left an indelible mark on the socio-political landscape of the Niger Delta.
The Bomadi council Boss, said Over the years, he has continued to demonstrate unwavering commitment to the development and unity of the Ijaw people. His past service as Commissioner for Ijaw Affairs in Bayelsa State further underscores his dedication to public service and advocacy for the welfare of his people.
He added that as an APC chieftain from Bomadi Local Government Area, his political influence and leadership have continued to inspire many within and beyond the region.
