A Gas Station along Effurun -Sapele Road Uvwie local Government Area of Delta State on Monday Night exploded .
ACTUAL News gathered that several persons got burnt by the fire incident as some houses were affected by the Night Fire .
The cause of the fire remains a mystery to some residents of the area as they count their losses, others said the cause of the fire incident was due to negligent by the management of the station .
Eyewitnesses said the fire suddenly started at about 10 pm before they could look for means to put off the fire the first explosion occured.
It was also gathered that the name of the gas plant was NELMIC Gas plant.
As at the time of filing this report no causality was recorded.
Delta state Fire fighting service arrived the scene from warri to battle the fire but were unable to put off the fire as their water got finished in the process .
It was gathered that other fire fighting service trucks arrived the seen to assist to put off the fire with residents of the area assisting the fire fighters to battle the fire .
A source told Actual News that the explosion would have been averted if the management had earlier taken measures to stop the gas tank leakage after complains from residents in the area.
The source further disclosed that staff of NELMIC Gas station closed their services for the day without a solution to the gas leakage which resulted to an explosion
