College of Education, Warri: Harvesting Projects, Promoting Academic Excellence

The College of Education ( COE) Warri, is presently harvesting laudable projects and promoting academic excellence.

A visit to the College by our correspondent last weekend indicated that two hostel buildings are currently under construction, with one of them expected to be ready for use by the next academic session.

There is the ongoing completion of the gigantic administrative building project in the college.

 


The Public Relations Officer( PRO ) of College of Education Warri , Mrs Vusi Owarieta – Enakarhire, who spoke to our correspondent in a media interaction,, expressed optimism that the two students hostels will improve the standard and architectural structures of the college, reduced the problem of students accommodation and create a more conducive learning atmosphere and enhance student security.

 

 

The PRO of COE, Warri also talked about the various intervention projects of TETFund, National Communication Commission ( NCC ) , Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) among others which she said have immensely improved the infrastructural standard of the College.

She drew the attention of our correspondent to the ongoing completion of the gigantic administrative building project in the College , courtesy of Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, as she stated that the project was abandoned for thirteen years .

She gladly and proudly disclosed that the renovation of ICT building, College main gate and establishment of a pure water factory projects are under way and that students will also receive vocational training in water production.

Mrs Enakarhire hinted that the College will soon begin a business school in affiliation with Delta State University.
According to her , this will provide candidates with easy access to bachelor and masters degrees in business administration.

Staff of the College are not left out of the developmental plan as she disclosed that they will undergo personal development training programs .

It is interesting to note that the public image maker of College of Education ( COE) Warri , attributed all these positive developments to the emergence of Dr Dickson Onovwakpoma Oyovwi JP as the provost of the College.

Her words “Dr. Dickson O. Oyovwi’s leadership has been a game-changer for the College of Education, Warri. Since he became the institution’s first internally generated provost on June 21st, 2021. ” His visionary leadership has transformed the college into a hub of academic excellence and infrastructure development.
” Dr Oyovwi ‘ s commitment to promoting academic excellence was evident, when he stated that the institution is poised to promote academic excellence, and he is indeed achieving this through his leadership ” she added
Mrs Enakarhire also disclosed that the provost had promised to run an all inclusive administration that will take the college to greater heights.
” He has kept to his promise so far ” the PRO of College of Education (COE)Warri. remarked.

The Provost of College of Education ( COE), Dr Dickson Onovwakpoma Oyovwi JP who spoke to our correspondent in a media chat on the positive developments in the College so far at his office, appreciated and commended Governor Oborevwori for his immense support for the College.

He also extended his gratitude to the Chairman and members of the Governing Council of the College for their support.

Lecturers, staff as well as students of the College were not left out in the words of appreciation of the Provost of College of Education (COE) Warri as he humbly noted that the foregoing achievements recorded so far by the college were collective efforts under his leadership.

 

Oyovwi however solicited for the continued support of the college community in order for the institution to achieve more.
