Bomadi Council Chairman, Andaye Empowers 226 Trainees With Skills ,Starter Packs ,Cash

Two hundred and twenty six Graduates of Bomadi local government skills  acquisition and Empowerment programme on Thursday received Starter packs ,certificates and the sum of one hundred thousand naira to start Business and better their lives.

 

 

 

Chairman of Bomadi local government, Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye said the Empowerment was in fulfillment of his promises made during his election campaign.

 

Correspondent Reports that the Graduates of the maiden Empowerment programme of Bomadi local government council were filled with joy as they  received starter packs and money to start up their own business after the training programme.

 

 

Chairman of Bomadi local government Hon Dagidi Andanye thanked God Almighty for a successful graduation ceremony of the first phase of the skill acquisition and Empowerment programme tagged” Building a bright future “which was flagged off October 24,2024.

He said the programme was designed to align with the MORE Agenda of the State Governor Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.

 

 

The Bomadi council Boss said 226 participants of the programme from the 20 wards were trained in various skills vital to economic growth, stressing that it is expected that they will be self -reliance and entrepreneurs .

 

 

 

 

Parts of Bomadi local government chairman Speech reads;

“I urge you to recognize these tools as more than equipment they represent the trust we place in you, the investment in your potential, and the hope for a more prosperous Bomadi Local Government Area. These kits are the foundation upon which you will build thriving businesses, create job opportunities, and contribute to the socio-economic transformation of our communities.

‘I want to use this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sherriff F.O. Ohorevworl, for providing the enabling environment that has made this programme possible. I equally want to thank our political leaders, stakeholders, and partners who have supported this initiative in various ways.

“To the trainers who imparted knowledge with dedication, your efforts will resonate in the success stories that will emerge from this programme.

“To our dedicated participants, I recognize that your journey will not be without challenges. There will be obstacles to overcome, but I encourage you to draw on the resilience and determination that have brought you this far. Our administration is committed to providing ongoing support and resources to help you navigate any challenges that may arise. This programme is not the end it is the beginning of a larger movement toward a skilled and self-reliant society” 

 

Bomadi council Boss assured the Delta State Chief job and wealth creation officer that the participants will not sell their starer packs .

For his part the Delta State chief job and wealth creation officer comrade Ifeanyi Egwunyenga praised Hon Dagidi Andanye for the Empowerment to participants of the maiden edition of the skill acquisition and Empowerment programme.

 

He advised the Beneficiaries to make good use of the starter packs to better their lots.

Comrade Egwunyenga while Presenting the items to the first graduates of Bomadi local government skills acquisition and Empowerment programme,stated that Hon Dagidi Andanye is the first council chairman in the state to embark on such Empowerment programme.

 

He also commended the Bomadi local government council Boss for embarking on meaningful and people’s oriented projects across the area .

Earlier the managing Director of sultry global, Deaconess Ebinepre Samson while congratulating the participants of the Empowerment programme urged them to put to practice what they have learnt and become employers of labour .

Some of the Beneficiaries thanked God for a successful conclusion of the programme and commended the chairman of Bomadi local government Hon Dagidi Andanye for giving them the opportunity to be part of the programme.

 

 

The participants were trained in various skills to include wig making paint production,shoe making,make up artistry,catering and Point of sale operations
