…Urges CMPG members to project governor’s programmes, achievements

Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori is resetting and repositioning governmental institutions, and structures to enable him accomplish set out goals, sustained impeccable standards in governance and delivery of dividends of democracy to all Deltans.

Executive Assistant on Communications to Delta State Governor, and Head of the State Orientation Bureau, Dr Latimore Oghenesivbe made the assertion on Wednesday May 8, at the post 2023 governorship election meeting of executives and members of the Coalition for Media Politics and Governance, CMPG, held at the conference hall of the Bureau in Asaba, the state capital.

He said the monumental achievements of the governor within twelve months in office underscores his unwavering commitment to advance Delta in all ramifications, adding that priority attention is given to all sectors of the state economy, especially mega projects, including the three flyovers, road expansion and pedestrian bridges at DSC Roundabout, PTI junction, Effurun Roundabout and Enerhen junction up to Marine Gate.

Oghenesivbe stated that the ongoing Ughelli-Asaba roads dualization is to fast track socioeconomic growth and development, which is why the state government is giving it the desired attention, noting that Delta State is currently experiencing uncommon infrastructure and socioeconomic transformation like never before under governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

Oghenesivbe urged CMPG members to deliberately intensify efforts in projecting the visible achievements of governor Oborevwori, emphasizing the need for Deltans to know all the projects this administration is executing and inaugurating with tax payers money at all times.

Governor Oborevwori’s Communication Strategist further posited that the governor is aware of the enviable contributions of CMPG members before, during and after the 2023 governorship election, and that in due season the group shall be rewarded one way or another, saying that governor Oborevwori remained a kind hearted and passionate leader who love to reward hard work and loyalty.

“This is the first meeting of CMPG after the 2023 governorship election. The governor we supported and voted for in 2023, is fully in charge of governance, and Delta is visibly moving forward, and in the fast lane of unprecedented development.

“Another good news is that governor Oborevwori is turning every part of the state to construction sites. World renowned construction giant, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc has since commenced the construction of three flyovers, road expansion and pedestrian bridges in Delta Central and South Senatorial Districts, at a contract sum of N78billion, and several other ongoing projects across the state.

“Oborevwori administration is focused on quality service delivery across board. The governor is resetting and repositioning governmental structures and institutions to enable him deliver qualitative and quantitative dividends of democracy to the people.

“CMPG members must of a necessity double efforts, be tenacious and unwavering in your daily media activities by saturating the traditional and social media space with contents and images of completed and ongoing projects of the governor Oborevwori, as we approach one year anniversary celebration of this administration on May 29.

“CMPG members are the pioneer publicists and proud ambassadors of the MORE Agenda of governor Oborevwori.

“We must not be weary in projecting the policies, programmes and achievements of this administration. I urge you to Keep the flag flying,” Oghenesivbe added.
