The Governor of Delta State , Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has urged local government council chairmen to be in their offices on weekdays .
This was contained in his address during the commissioning of Warri South Local Government Council Chairman ‘ s Logde at Mission Road, Warri on Thursday 18th May ,2023 disclosed that he has since given a directive to that effect.
Governor Okowa who stated that he was once an elected local government council chairman , stressed the importance of local government council chairmen getting close to the leaders and people at the grass roots at all times.
While applauding the Executive Chairman of Warri South Local Government Council Dr (Hon ) Michael Tidi for the building of the lodge, he noted that the logde will provide relaxation for chairmen of the local government council .
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa had earlier gave Dr Tidi a pat on the back for his entrepreneurship programs for young people in the local government area.
He noted that the various entrepreneurship programs embarked upon by the local government council boss, were indication that Dr Tidi has keyed into the entrepreneurship programs which the state government started since the past six years .
The Chairman Agbarha Warri Regency Council High Chief Willie Atebefia Digbori JP and the Otota of Okere Urhobo Kingdom High Chief retired Brigadier General Gold Eburu and the Olu of Warri , His Majesty Atuwaste 111 were among those present at epoc making event .
