The Chairman of Agbarha Warri Regency Council High Chief Willie Atebefia Digbori JP has appealed to Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori to pressurize the Federal Government to instruct oil companies which headquarters relocated from Warri to return back .

This was contained in his key note address during the sympathy visit of members of Delta State Traditional Rulers Council to members of Agbarha Warri Regency Council and Agbarha Warri people on the transition of HRM London Aforkerhi Itu JP Ememoh the Ovie of Agbarha Kingdom at Agbarha Warri Regency Hall Igbudu Community Warri on Friday 7th July, 2023 .

He lamented that owing to the relocation of headquarters of the said oil companies, Warri had become shadow of itself economically and socially and that it was no longer the economic hub of Delta State.

Digbori also appealed to the traditional rulers not to allow the extreme deplorable economic state of Warri to persist during their reign.

The Chairman of Agbarha Warri Regency Council expressed optimism that relocation of headquarters of the said oil companies to Warri ” will not only revitalise the city, but also create gainful employment opportunities for teaming unemployed youths and graduates , who have turned Warri City into keke rider’s industry.
” This is the time for us to act, so that we will be remembered for what we have done “
Digbori noted that Agbarha Warri kingdom was located in the major parts of Warri South Local Government Area just as he listed the communities that comprised the ancient Agbarha Warri kingdom to include : Otovwodo (Agbassa) , Ogunu, Igbudu, Edjeba , Okurode ( Ekurede Urhobo ) , Ukpokiti ( riverine ) and Oteghele ( riverine )
