An International Educational Organization, Electronic Education Initiative ( E- Don ) held a 2day Virtual Training Workshop on Understanding Modern Technology and Global Digital Classroom Teaching and Learning at the College of Education ( COE) Warri on 28th and 29th July, 2026.
While declaring the workshop open, the Provost of the College, Dr (Mrs.) Fidelia Chukwudumebi Ighrakpata expressed gratitude to Electronic Education Initiative ( E- Don) for the training.
She urged participants to make good use of the opportunity to advance their knowledge in modern educational technology and digital learning.
The National Coordinator of The Electronic Education Initiative ( E – DON ) Dr. Idonuagbe O Akogun in his brief address shortly after the Provost ‘ s speech stated among other things that the The Electronic Education Initiative sort to establish a unique international linkage platform between the College of Education Warri and Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri in United States of America with a broader vision to modernize teaching and learning through technology – driven global collaboration.
A letter of the introduction of the 2 day workshop to College of Education Warri by Electronic Education Initiative E- Don, made available to newsmen, explains that “The E- Don currently serving as a consultant to the Committee of Provosts of Colleges of Education across the country and developers of the innovative 98- inch QR interactive Board and the E – Don 3D animation simulation software, continues to champion modern classroom transportation across Nigeria through the Tertiary Education Trust Fund ( TETFUND) zonal intervention deployment initiative. “
It also explains that the workshop is designed to introduce educators and students to futuristic educational technologies and international best practices that are rapidly redefining classroom teaching and learning globally.
The 2day workshop witnessed an interactive session where there was also a question and answer session. A resource person, Donna Stallings PhD of Lincoln University Jefferson City Missouri USA answered all questions put to her through an electronic device on a live transmission from the United States of America .
The workshop was attended by various heads of departments and students of the College of Education (COE)Warri .
The Facilitator of The Electronic Education Initiative ( E- Don) Mr Clement Okafor who spoke to our correspondent shortly after the day one of the workshop, disclosed that participants will be issued certificates after the workshop.
The Provost of College of Education ( COE), Dr. Fidelia Ighrakpata who also spoke to our correspondent in an exclusive media chat shortly after the day one of the workshop, on behalf of participants and the College community, expressed her profound gratitude to the Executive Secretary of National Commission of Colleges of Education (NCCE), Dr.( Mrs.) Angela Ajala for nominating College of Education ( COE) Warri for the training.
She commented on the live device transmission of lectures from far away United States of America and remarked that the World is a global village more so, with digital technology.
