The political build-up to the 2027 general elections is beginning to take a more visible grassroots dimension in Sagbama Constituency I, as APC women from the Angalabiri Federated Community staged a well-attended rally through Angalabiri Town, reaffirming their support for the party and its candidates.
The rally brought together women, party supporters and community stakeholders in a show of unity and political participation, while providing an opportunity for renewed engagement with the grassroots ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking during the rally, the women’s leader, Mrs. Peremoboere Eseduwo, expressed appreciation to APC leaders and stakeholders for their continued interest in the community and their support for grassroots activities.
She particularly acknowledged High Chief Lucky Alex Youbogha, Hon. Stanley Damabide Esq., Hon. Jackson Jacko Embale (Abadi-Ofoni), Hon. Peres Peretu, Hon. Tony Micah, Hon. Amaebi Efere, Chief Diepreye Ebizimor, Hon. Prince Alabi and other leaders and stakeholders for their presence and contributions to strengthening the party at the community level.
Mrs. Eseduwo urged the women to remain united and actively participate in the political process, stressing that sustained grassroots engagement and peaceful mobilisation would be important as the 2027 elections approach.
She also called on the women to continue working together across the various communities within the federation, while encouraging broader participation and support for the party and its candidates.
The rally also featured the participation of Hon. Jackson Jacko Embale (Abadi-Ofoni), who joined the women during the procession through Angalabiri Town. His participation formed part of his ongoing grassroots engagements and community interactions under the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, which is focused on taking the campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election directly to the people.
Rather than being limited to political rallies, the Door-to-Door initiative has increasingly placed emphasis on direct community contact, listening to residents and strengthening communication between supporters, stakeholders and voters at the grassroots.
The Angalabiri rally therefore provided another platform for such interaction, with women playing a prominent role in demonstrating political awareness, mobilisation and community-level participation.
As political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of 2027, engagements of this nature are expected to remain an important part of efforts to consolidate grassroots support across Sagbama Constituency I.
The message from Angalabiri was clear: unity, participation and continued grassroots engagement will remain central to the road to 2027.
