The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Council, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike , has expressed profound gratitude to the people of the local government for the confidence reposed in his administration, describing the opportunity to serve as one of the greatest privileges of his public life.
The council chairman made the remarks on Wednesday during a Thanksgiving and Praise Service held at the Council Chapel, Ogwashi-Uku, to commemorate his second anniversary in office.
Reflecting on the journey of the last 24 months, Chukwunwike acknowledged the collective sacrifices, cooperation and unwavering support of individuals and groups whose contributions have sustained the implementation of his administration’s Consolidatory Agenda.
He particularly commended the Legislative Arm of the Council led by the Leader, Hon. Hon Leonard Nzemeke , members of the council workforce, political appointees, supervisory councillors, market women, party leaders, traditional stakeholders, security agencies, Team JC Political Support Group, Aniocha South Female Youths in Politics and other critical stakeholders for their shared commitment to the progress of the council.
According to the chairman, the achievements recorded by his administration are products of purposeful collaboration rather than individual efforts, stressing that the prevailing atmosphere of unity, institutional harmony and mutual respect has provided the enabling environment for the successful execution of government policies and programmes.
While appreciating the people for their continued trust, Chukwunwike assured residents that the remaining months of his administration will witness renewed momentum in infrastructure delivery and human capital development.
He maintained that his government remains committed to expanding access to development across communities through projects and programmes that directly improve the living conditions of the people, particularly the youth and the most vulnerable members of society.
The chairman reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to deepen youth focused initiatives and social welfare policies designed to promote economic inclusion, productive engagement and sustainable community development.
On security, Chukwunwike appealed to security agencies and other relevant stakeholders to sustain the existing partnership that has continued to guarantee peace and stability across Aniocha South.
He observed that security remains the foundation upon which meaningful development thrives, noting that the cordial working relationship between government, security institutions and community stakeholders has significantly contributed to the successful implementation of his administration’s developmental blueprint and the fulfilment of key electoral promises.
The council boss reserved special appreciation for the Vice Chairman, Hon Patricia Ekwutozam Adolue whom he described as a dependable partner whose loyalty, commitment and team spirit have strengthened the administration’s pursuit of good governance.
He also recognised the invaluable contributions of the Secretary to the Council, Hon. Prince Tony K Ebube , the Head of Personnel Management, supervisory councillors, market women, political leaders and the Director General of Team JC Political Support Group, Hon. Pius Okonjo, among several others whose dedication has advanced the objectives of the council.
In a message directed to communities awaiting major government interventions, Chukwunwike urged for patience and continued confidence in his administration, assuring that no community would be deliberately excluded from the dividends of democratic governance.

He explained that equity, balance and fairness have remained the defining principles guiding the distribution of projects and public investments across the federating communities of Aniocha South, adding that development under his leadership has consistently been driven by the ideals of justice, inclusiveness and shared prosperity.
The chairman equally reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of the council workforce, acknowledging the indispensable role of civil servants in translating government policies into tangible outcomes.
Chukwunwike dedicated the successes of the past two years to God and to the resilient people of Aniocha South, while pledging to consolidate on existing achievements and sustain policies that will leave enduring developmental milestones across the local government.
