The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has thanked residents for their support as he marks two years in office, pledging to do “more and more” to deliver development across the LGA.
“My dear peace loving and law abiding people of Bomadi, two years ago, you gave me your mandate. Today, we have weathered the storms together, and navigated towards more development for us. Together, we shall do more and more,” Andaye said in a message to the people.
Andaye, who won election on July 13, 2024 and was sworn in on July 15, 2024, also serves as Secretary of ALGON, Delta State Chapter.
In a 2-year scorecard released on Tuesday, the administration highlighted 14 completed legacy projects delivered in the first year, plus ongoing initiatives focused on infrastructure, human capital and security.

A major highlight was the restoration of electricity to Bomadi after over a decade in darkness a development the Council said has boosted businesses, security and social activities.
The administration also flagged off construction of an ultra-modern Mini-Stadium in Kpakiama Urban, described as a game-changer for sports, youth talent discovery and the local economy.
Human Capital & Welfare:
The Council has rolled out cash grants and medical outreach for the elderly. It has also taken over WAEC and NECO registration fees for SS students, easing costs for parents.
Security:
As Chief Security Officer, Andaye said he strengthened ties with the Police, DSS, Civil Defence, FRSC and Bomadi Vigilante through patrol vehicles and logistics, resulting in improved safety.
Governance & Community Engagement:
The Chairman has sustained town hall meetings and stakeholder engagements with political leaders, traditional rulers, youths, traders and faith leaders. He also supports monthly prayer sessions with CAN and PFN, and backs initiatives by his wife, Hon. Mrs. Rejoice Andaye.
Labor relations have remained peaceful, with prompt salaries, staff training and welfare packages in partnership with NULGE.
Hosted Major Events*
Bomadi hosted the birthday of the wife of Delta Governor, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, and the commissioning of the 31km Ohoror-Bomadi Road by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. Andaye chaired the Security Sub-Committee for the Ijaw Nation’s grand reception for the Governor.
Recognition:
For his performance, Andaye has received the Time Magazine Best Performing LGA Chairman in Nigeria 2025, NANS Outstanding LGA Chairman, and NUJ Transformational Development Legacy Award.
As he begins year three, the Council boss, fondly called “ODOKOBIO”, vowed to consolidate gains and extend development to every community in Bomadi.
