***Connect with the people, let APC win cleanly- Otomiewo*

By Vera Ifaka

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate contesting for the House of Assembly, Uvwie constituency, Barr. Edafe Emakpor has stated that the major criteria worthy of electing leaders for the 2023 election should be targeted at rescuing the present and sustaining the future of children.

Emakpor made this statement during one of his campaign tour, saying that governance should be concerned with solving collective problems of the society, making sense, or giving meaning to people to live happily.
“We need representatives who are focused on delivering better services because they can initiate and deliver projects and programmes that are objectively impacting the lives of our people” he said .
“It is generally obvious that the People Democratic Party in Delta State has rescinded development in the State” he noted .

The APC House of Assembly candidate for Uvwie Constituency said PDP has squandered enormous wealth and misused valuable resources that would have transformed the
customary shanty communities into modern cities.

He stressed that Development is more about the attitude of people towards governance in solving social problems through public policies and impacting lives through objectives programs of the state.
“I am contesting for the position of legislator in the Delta State House of Assembly because I feel disheartening about the collateral damage the PDP has done to the State and its people” he stated .
Edafe Emakpor added that he is coming on board through the instrumentality of a lawmaker to restrain people in the government’s ability to misuse resources.’ I am coming to contribute and stimulate development through legislation to bring the tangibility of development to our people. As you go out to vote, think about the future of your children.”

“Think about their education, welfare, health, security, and a better life for everyone. We can only do justice to the use of our resources if we vote competency and integrity that the APC is offering. The PDP, by its track record of derailing the path of development in Delta State for over 24 years means we have wasted a lot of time doing nothing.”

“A 24-year-old person should be mature to navigate through meaningful opportunities that are impacting himself/herself and society. Inadvertently, the PDP has kept us behind schedule in processing our development and happiness. This is the time to set things right with your votes.”

Barr. Emakpor advised the good people of Uvwie During his Ward 2 ward tour (Airport road Junction), and Ward 1 ( Alaka, Jakpa, Jefia-PTI) that a vote for the APC will manifest into a better future for our people and the development of our State.

Omo-Agege is the gubernatorial candidate of the APC and has promised to provide Employment and Empowerment, Development, Good Governance, and Enduring Peace and Security (EDGE) to Build A New Delta. Omo-Agege can build a new future for our people.
“I sincerely urge you to vote Sen. Omo-Agege for governor of Delta State. Also, vote for Barr. Edafe Emakpor for Delta State House of Assembly, Uvwie constituency for quality representation and development-oriented legislation.

In a similar vain Hon. Henry Omotoja (member of Omo Agege, APC campaign council.) decried the intentional neglect of the people and the tenuous capacity of the PDP to begin and finish projects.

He said PDP is a reflection of decay and pretends to initiate social projects but there are litters of abandoned projects all over the State that the PDP government has embezzled the funds meant for projects. The Mother and Children Hospital in Ekpan is a good example of an abandoned project. Our roads across Delta State have been abandoned by the PDP and the monies for these projects have been stolen. Nothing works in Delta State. There is a sense of denial of the people by the PDP-led government for a whole 24 years. This is beyond what a reasonable person should tolerate and accommodate. The remedy is to come out and vote against abandoned projects. If we want Delta State to develop, we must come out with the incentive of removing the PDP while objectively fixing the progressive APC to manage and sustain our development for the future of Delta State.

Also speaking Chief Barr. Victor Otomiewo, (the Unuevworo of Etche r’ Oriokpo; former Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Delta State cautioned the people not to ignore coming out to vote during the March 18th, 2023 State elections. “As a legal practitioner, I am asking the APC to passionately connect with the people of the state and energize them to vote against the impunity of the PDP that has kept on in this mess of deprivation and under-development. As a progressive party with a viable gubernatorial candidate, Omo-Agege is a superior candidate compared to the PDP candidate that lacks the capacity and moral value to lead an enlightened people like Delta State. I don’t see the people of Delta State voting for a personality like Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oboriwhori of the PDP. Sen. Omo-Agege is a better product that can cleanly win the coming gubernatorial contest in Delta State. I also urge the people of Uvwie to vote for enlightened representation and vote for Barr. Edafe Emakpor for the House of Assembly Uvwie constituency contest. Emakpor has the quality to deliver developmental projects and programmes that will impact the people and the State”.
