The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Council, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, has called on political pressure groups in the area to strengthen collaboration and mobilize support for the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the next electoral cycle.
Chukwunwike made the call on Tuesday while receiving members of the Redemption Group at the Chairman’s Lodge, Ogwashi-Uku. The group visited to celebrate his birthday and mark his second anniversary in office.
The Chairman described the visit as a demonstration of shared political commitment and confidence in his administration. He assured that his government would continue to consolidate achievements through people-centered policies and development-driven initiatives.
He emphasized that constructive criticism remains vital to democratic governance, noting that accountable leadership thrives on dialogue and continuous engagement with stakeholders.
According to him, his administration welcomes objective suggestions and well-intentioned feedback that can promote unity, strengthen governance and advance development in Aniocha South.
Chukwunwike stressed the need for sustained partnership between public officials and organized political pressure groups, saying such collaboration is key to deepening grassroots participation and reinforcing structures for electoral success.
He also urged members of the group and other stakeholders to remain steadfast in supporting the APC. The Chairman expressed confidence that the Federal Government’s economic and institutional reforms would reposition the country for long-term growth and prosperity, and appealed for patience and understanding as the reforms take full effect.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Chief Barrister Steve Uwaechie, said the visit was to celebrate the Chairman’s birthday and two years of purposeful leadership.
He said the Redemption Group is committed to constructive engagement with the Council Chairman to build a stronger partnership that advances the collective interests of Aniocha South.
Chief Uwaechie noted that the group is focused on promoting good governance by identifying areas for improvement and encouraging policies that deliver tangible benefits to the people.
He commended the Chairman for developmental strides across critical sectors of the LGA and reaffirmed the group’s continued support for the administration.
The visit ended with the formal adoption and incorporation of Pastor Chukwunwike as a member of the Redemption Group, symbolizing renewed commitment to partnership and sustainable development in Aniocha South.
