BOMADI – The All Progressives Congress governorship primary recorded massive participation across the 10 wards in Bomadi Local Government Area on Thursday, with members voting for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as the party’s sole candidate.
At Kpakiama Ward 2, where Bomadi Council Chairman Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye cast his ballot, over 4,000 members voted for Oborevwori.

Party members cited major projects executed by the governor in the last three years as reason for their support. Andaye described the exercise as peaceful and smooth, noting the large turnout.
Voting also took place in Bomadi Ward One, where two-time commissioner David Ekerekosu and other party leaders said residents backed Oborevwori due to the development he attracted to the area.

Similar exercises were held in Akugbene Wards 7, 8 and 9. Leaders including Prince Kelly Penawou, Chief Barry Gbe, Chief Flemmy Carther, community chairmen, women leaders, and youth groups said the primary was peaceful and reaffirmed their support for the governor’s re-election bid.
At Esanma Ward 3 Ogriagbene Ward 4, Ekamtagbene /Kalafiugbene Ward 5,Ogbeinama/Okoloba Ward 6 and Ogo-Eze Ward 10 members of the party came out in their numbers to vote for the only governor aspirant, Rt hon sheriff Oborevwori.
Collation Officer Mr. Martins Uko said he was impressed with the turnout and conduct of party members. He added that results would be formally announced at the APC Secretariat in Asaba.
APC leader in Bomadi, Senator James Manager, and Council Chairman Andaye thanked party members for their participation, stating that Oborevwori’s performance in office spoke for him during the primary.
