The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has described the successful screening of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori by the All Progressives Congress (APC) national leadership as a definitive validation of his impactful governance in Delta State.
Governor Oborevwori was recently cleared by the APC national screening committee in Abuja, supervised by National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yiwaltda.
In a rare gesture of respect, the Governor was asked to “take a bow and go” after less than five minutes, a move Andaye says reflects a party-wide vote of confidence.
In a statement released Saturday, May 9, 2026, Hon. Andaye, who also serves as the Secretary of Delta ALGON, noted that the Governor’s track record across the state’s three senatorial districts has left him without any serious internal contenders for the party ticket .
Andaye lauded the Governor for funding massive infrastructure, healthcare, and education projects without borrowing since 2023.
The Council Boss highlighted that the Governor’s “M.O.R.E Agenda” has earned him recognition from national media and the support of former critics.
He urged all Deltans, regardless of party affiliation, to support a seamless second term for Oborevwori in 2027 and back President Bola Tinubu’s reelection.
