Given the present economic situation in the country,Rotary club of Ekpan, District 9141 on Saturday trained several women and girls in making liquid soap, disinfectant and air freshener in Ekpan, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta state
The training programme is an annual exercise by the Rotary club of Ekpan to raise young entrepreneur with requisite skills that would help reposition their socio economic wellbeing while they use the skill to train others and Even become employers of labour in order to reduce dependency on their loved ones.
The president of the club Rotarian Osaro Igbinaduwa who was represented by the incoming President Rotarian Josphy Omoregie said the initiative is to see that Rotary stay ahead alongside other institutions to fight poverty and economic dependency.
Rotarian Omoregie noted that the initiative is part of the seven area of focus of Rotary international to get everyone armed with one skill or the other for their future to be bright adding that it would enable the participants contribute to National development.
Other Rotarians including the instructor of the skill Acquisition programme Rotarian Angela Okojie As well as the project chairman Rotarian Steve Olubo Spoke on the skill Acquisition
training and it significance.
Participants who could not hide their excitements appreciate Rotary club of Ekpan for the initiative, promising to make fortune out of it.
The skill Acquisition programme by Rotary club of Ekpan also saw certificate presentation and starter packs to the participants.
