Delta State is poised for yet another significant milestone as governor Sheriff Oborevwori leads a powerful delegation of senior government officials and captains of Industry to perform the groundbreaking ceremony of the Kwale Free Trade Zone on Tuesday November 11, 2025, marking the commencement of construction work on the project.
The Kwale Free Trade Zone is a significant economic development project aimed at attracting investments, generating employment opportunities, and boosting economic prosperity in the state, as well as the South-South region of Nigeria.
Since assuming office, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has been steering Delta State towards unprecedented economic growth and development. His unwavering commitment to creating a conducive business environment, attracting investments, and generating employment opportunities has begun to yield remarkable results.
A testament to his visionary leadership is the Kwale Free Trade Zone, a significant economic development project that promises to revolutionize the state’s economic landscape. This ambitious project, covering approximately 1,000 hectares of land, is poised to attract investments, create thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities, and boost economic prosperity in the region.
