The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, HRM Dr. Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso Abe 1 OON JP, has Felicitated with Wellmann Group at the 20th anniversary celebration of Wellmann Group Colloquium of Operational Excellence held at Monarchy Center in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom was represented by High Chief (Hon.) Roy Grant Oke, the Unuevworo of Etch R’ Ogbe and Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Political Affairs to the Executive Governor of Delta State.
The MD/CEO of Wellmann Group of Companies, Deacon Chris Iyovwaye in his opening speech recalled how the company was formed twenty years ago and pointed out some challenges that International companies couldn’t solved, that Wellmann Group solved and stated its achievements across the globe within the period.
The event, featured notable speakers and dignitaries, including former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan GCFR, who called for a more united Nigeria.
The Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff F. O. Oborevwori JP, represented by his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme FCA, emphasized the need for devolution of power to the states, stating that it would allow for more responsibilities to be given to them while the Federal Government focuses on foreign policy, defense, and economy.
Other speakers at the event included Ambassador Arakana Chihombori-Quao, Prof. Mike Ozekhome SAN, Dr. Moses Umoru, and Dr. Henrietta Onwuegbuzie, who all pointed out challenges facing Nigeria and suggested ways to strengthen the economy.
