Rotary Club Of Ubeji Trains 54 Persons On Vocational Skills

 Rotary Club of Ubeji , District 9141 has trained no fewer than  54 persons including 12 persons with disabilities in vocational trades that would make them relevant in the society .
Our Correspondent Reports  that the Beneficiaries  were trained in Hat making,Pastries,shoe making, liquid and solid soap Production,make up gele, perfume amongst others at Ubeji ,warri south local Government Area of Delta State.
The 54 beneficiaries were trained for two weeks by  MJ Bertrand skill acquisition place in Ubeji .
The trainees were selected from Ubeji, Ifiekporo, Egbokodo-Itsekiri and People With Disabilities(PDW) Communities. 
The president of Rotary Club of Ubeji Rotarian Emmanuel Etsano said the whole idea is to provide the beneficiaries with skills so that they can  catered for themselves with a legitimate business venture that will make them independent and invariably employers of labour.

While presenting certificates to the beneficiaries including persons with disabilities, Rotarian Etsano commended them for their dedication and high spirit to learn the various skills.

The vocational chairman of Rotary club of ubeji,Rotarian Emiko Akpita  who spoke on the theme unlock Entrepreneurship  Opportunities Via Skill Acquisition   thanked the Beneficiaries  for cooperating with 
the proprietor of MJ Bertrand skill acquisition place, Mrs Jane Orhewere .
Also speaking during the exhibition of the produced items , An Assistant Governor district 9141
Rotarian Reginald Patrick-Nnoshiri commended the beneficiaries especially the PWD’s for their bold step and interest  in developing themselves through skills acquisition programme.
The proprietor of MJ Bertrand skill acquisition place, Mrs Jane Orhewere commended Rotary Club of Ubeji for giving her the opportunity to train the beneficiaries .
Some of the Beneficiaries thanked Rotary club of Ubeji for the gesture and pledged  to use the knowledge acquired meaningfully

 

One of the  persons with disabilities,Mr Jolomi Timeyi enjoined other humanitarian organizations to always add them to Empowerment programmes to make  life more  meaningful to them .
