Government officials, academics, legal experts, civil society leaders, media practitioners and other stakeholders will gather in Asaba on Thursday, July 30, 2026, for the latest edition of BEL Dialogue 2026.
The dialogue, with the theme “Democracy That Works: Bridging the Gap Between Votes, Results and Institutional Accountability”will focus on the future of democratic governance in Nigeria ahead of the 2027 General Election.
According to the organizers, the event is designed as a solution-driven platform to examine critical issues around electoral integrity, institutional accountability, governance, and citizen participation.
The Chairman of the Occasion is Hon. Mike Igini, Esq.
He will lead an accomplished panel of public policy experts and discussants who are expected to offer insights and practical recommendations.
The event will hold at 11:00 a.m. at David’s Event Centre, Anwai Road, Asaba, Delta State.
In a statement, Secretary to the Advisory Board/Executive Director of BEL Dialogue, Emmanuel O. Enebeli, FCISM, MNIPR, said the dialogue goes beyond a conference.
“This is more than a conference—it is a platform for robust ideas, informed debate and practical solutions. Expect a power-packed, intellectually engaging and impactful dialogue that will challenge perspectives, inspire action and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s democratic development,” he stated.
Enebeli added that the forum is open to policymakers, professionals, students, civil society advocates, media practitioners and concerned citizens.

Organizers say the conversations from the event are expected to shape policy perspectives and deepen democratic practice as the nation prepares for 2027.
