The executive chairman of Bomadi local Government council, Hon Dagidi Andaye has called on Nigerians to be Steadfast and united .
Hon Andaye made the call in his independence message to the people of Bomadi as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary
The full text Reads;
My beloved people of Bomadi, Deltans and fellow Nigerians,
Today, as our great nation marks her 65th Independence Anniversary, my heart is filled with both gratitude and reflection. Grateful to God for keeping Nigeria together as one indivisible family, and reflective of the journey we have travelled as a people who continue to dream, endure, and hope for a brighter tomorrow.
Independence reminds us of the priceless sacrifices of our heroes past, who laid down their lives so that freedom, justice, and unity may reign. But beyond history, Independence challenges us to rise above despair and work hand in hand to rebuild our nation and communities, starting from the grassroots.
In Bomadi, the story of this past one year is not mine alone but our collective triumph. Together, we have turned promises into reality by commissioning 14 landmark projects that have brought hope to our people. From infrastructure to social amenities, these achievements are not just physical structures, but living testimonies that progress is possible when leaders and the people walk together in trust.
My dear people, this is only the beginning. As we look to the future, let us hold fast to the Renewed Hope for M.O.R.E. Agenda of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Francis Oborevwori. With his visionary leadership, and with our unity as a people, we can achieve Meaningful Development, create Opportunities for All, implement Realistic Reforms, and sustain Enhanced Peace and Security across Bomadi and Delta State.
On this Independence Day, I call on every son and daughter of Bomadi and indeed all Deltans: let us believe once more in the promise of tomorrow. Let us dream again, work together again, and build again—because our best days are not behind us, but ahead of us.
May God bless Bomadi, bless Delta State, and bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
