A book on’ Principles Of Common Law- Rule Of Law ‘ authored by Dr Joseph Ekugbere Ejoh Esq was launched at Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) Conference Centre, Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area on Saturday 16th May, 2026.
The book reviewer, Professor Festus Imireh , SAN, former Head of Service (HOS) , Delta State Mr Patrick Origho who stood in for the Chairman of the event, Okakuro Thompson Okpoko SAN, a Guest Speaker, Dr Akpo Mudiaga – Odje Esq , the Chairman Nigerian Benchers HRM Albert Akpomudje SAN the Ohworode ( traditional ruler) of Olomu Kingdom, the Chairman of the Occasion, HRM Major General Felix Mudjakperuo rtd Orhue I the Orodje ( traditional ruler) of Okpe Kingdom, the Chief Launcher Okakuro Anthony Owumi, a Special Guest Adaka 1 Andi Kayoma Osawota the Ovie of Orogun Kingdom among others who spoke at the very impressive event praised Joseph Ekugbere Ejoh, a lawyer and respected Chief of Okpe Kingdom for authoring the book as they noted that it captured all about common law.
Some of them also noted that it was a combination of Anglo/ American/ Nigerian common law.
High point of the epoch making event, was the unvailing of the book by Okakuro Anthony Owumi.
Ejoh who spoke to our correspondent in a media chat shortly after the event, stated that the book is a signal of event that will encourage others to publish books.
” We are happy that the book is well taken. It will help Nigerians and indeed humanity” he added
